CSHA Royalty Program

Region 1 Royalty

Miss C.S.H.A. and the Ambassador represent and promote Region 1 and C.S.H.A. at various functions.
The Miss C.S.H.A. and Ambassador positions are for ladies and gentlemen  between 14 - 17 years of age, and the positions of Jr. Miss C.S.H.A. and Jr. Ambassador are for those between 11- 13. Little Miss CSHA and Little Ambassador are for those 7-10 years of age. *(age as of 12/1/09}
In addition to winning a tiara and sash or hat band, those selected for these positions are eligible to compete for the State positions at the State Championship Show in October for additional awards, including a scholarship for future educational use
The contestants are judged on appearance, personality, poise, speaking ability, equitation and a written test.
Poise, personality, appearance and speaking ability are judged together at a suitable function at which the contestants are interviewed by the judges and give a prepared speech. The topic for the speech is chosen in advance. Equitation is judged during a riding test which consists of a compulsory pattern which is provided in advance. The written test contains questions pertaining to basic knowledge of C.S.H.A. and general horsemanship. The questions are taken from the last published C.S.H.A. ByLaws & Rule Book, and the C.S.H.A. Horseman’s Handbook. The test also contains appropriate etiquette questions.

Please contact our Region Royalty Chair for more information about the Region 1 Royalty Program.
